Mark Khoury Design is the personal practice of Toronto based industrial designer Mark Khoury. His work - consisting of objects, furniture, and spaces - reflects his focus on iterative design ideation, material exploration, and the leveraging of fabrication knowledge to realize tangible design solutions. He is inspired by the joys of the world around him and values timeless style and construction, yielding work intended to be used, worn down, and loved for years to come.
Reacting to the increasing urbanization of North American populations, and corresponding shrinkage of average dwelling sizes is Mark Khoury’s recently launched Tilt Collection featuring pieces such as the above pictured Tilt Lounging Set and Wall Shelf.
The pieces in this collection are designed to fit a need for stylish, comfortable, and functional furniture with small footprints. From the proportions and construction to the material selection, they equitably cater to a wide range of users and function with thoughtful intention in an equally wide range of spaces.
Instead of a typical single piece trivet, of which there are many beautiful iterations, nine! Trivets consists of a tray and nine individual trivets that can be playfully removed, placed, rearranged and combined to protect your table from one (or many) of your smallest (or largest) serving dishes.
